veteran South Florida spearo & my friend Ulises from spearfishingworld.com with a super nice stringer of fish he harvested w/ his new "Mojito" ...my newest rear handle enclosed track 3 band model...he seems to have figured out the way to take advantage of the accuracy of the enclosed track pretty well ... grouper,hogsnappers and a few nice cobia tucked away !!
and on our other coast ... Todd w/ a nice White Sea Bass...

I do my own website & photography so it is always having new pics and text added...it is truly my showroom...and I take a lot of pride in it...I have been working on a few flash galleries...they really help show some details that otherwise might be missed...I hope you enjoy them...
spearotiki is about the blending of different cultures and designs with the focus point on a love for the Sea & harvesting fish on their terms...the European aspect ,"spearo" and the Samoan culture of the Pacific ,"tiki"...is my way of respecting both regions and their centuries long pursuit of holding their breath in search of food and a livelihood...I have learned a lot from friends that are from both parts of the world, having dove and hunted w/ them has allowed me to see a lot of different ways to go about the "art of spearfishing" ...I have tried to incorporate the things I have learned from them both into my designs & models...
my own background as an artist , designer, stone mason & woodworker for 35 years of course has its part too...I hope you enjoy your visit...let me know if I can answer any questions at all...
I am currently not taking orders for guns until the fall...I am too backed up to take any more custom orders until then...I want to thank all my folks again...I am a small operation, and am the only one carving and shaping my stocks , and making all my hardware and handles...it is for sure a labor of love...and the "one offness" of my units requires a lot more time than a production model...

the two band model in the "La Jolla" series is the "arrecife"...the name translates reef in spanish (air-a-seefay) ...it has the same enclosed track system as the other "La Jolla" series models...but is intended for two 5/8" powerbands. It shoots a 9/32" shaft like a bullet...with exceptional accuracy ! a perfect choice for anything from uhu's in Hawaii, hogsnappers & groupers in Florida, tautog's& sheepshead of the mid atlantic or calico bass & ling cod sized fish in California...it also comes in a rear handled version too...the "mojito" ...it can use (2) 5/8" or or (3) 9/16" bands ...it also has an enclosed track and takes a reel very nice...a very popular model where vis is extra good...or for slightly larger species...

my original design ,signature custom handle...ergonomically designed to aid in shooting...a lot of work goes into these...but like the rest of my line that is what makes mine a bit different...the 30 degree raked version above...
above shows the two different styles ...I make these to each persons specific size etc...
for my customs all the frames are precision TIG welded and polished...the final finish is a bead blast w/ multiple vinyl coating...the standard 15 degree model above...
...the handles I carve by hand are one of my specialties...the frames are made from marine grade aluminum that are waterjet cut to one of my (4) different profile designs and (3) different bases...then I hand carve the side stocks from either woods or solid ABS...these handles stress test to over 350 lbs.!!!
they have & will be copied for sure ...but in no way duplicated !!

life is for sure better at the end of a float line... I have lived and worked on the water all my life...surfing, fishing hunting & trapping and basically trying to find a way to make a peaceful iving from Mother Ocean or in the Great Outdoors... the craft of building spearguns and related gear is something that has come about in the last 10 years...I know that there are many places you can get your spearguns and related gear on the net..and I totally appreciate the oppurtunity to help you out...let me know if there are any questions or details I can give you a better explanation about....if there is a better resource I know about for any specific needs you have I will definetely let you know..thanks again...t

spearotiki is extremely proud of the fact that I have been able to build spearguns & put together kits for friends of mine that are members of The Navy Seal Teams,Explosive Ordinance Disposal & Corp of Engineers Divers... I have also been able to send out kits & supplies out all over the world to serviceman everywhere...some of them have sent me unit emblems as a way of thanking me , these are to me prized possesions..I look at these coins every day on my desk...and I say a prayer for you and your friends ... a few have been recently deployed...I just ask that we keep them all in our thoughts and prayers......
most of these guys are younger than my own three sons... I who would like to express thanks as do the rest of the spearo community here in America for you risking your lives for not only your country,but also all of the world that is trying to work thing's out...please come home safe !...
I have been told that my website has been entertaining to some of you while you were overseas...that is a huge compliment to me.... when you are far away from home you want a connection with things you are familiar with...I am very glad that I was and am able to provide something for you something that reminded you of the times you were around your buddies chasing fish...and also something to look forward to...
